Third multiplayer with promised PvP and PvE elements, with organic class system! And last... kernel.hardline ;) - You can be a loner, you can be a team player. https://xkcd.com/356/ This game nerd-sniped me VERY thoroughly. And I have enjoyed EVERY second of it. It is fun, addictive, and completely open-ended. If you are a coder, you'll love this game. And if you aren't, the vlan (intro) walks you through enough to get the hang of things, and then there are lots of us who are willing to help you learn. So, a good way to pick up coding, too.

This is a game about real hacking in a virtual world, which is awesome :D. I started playing because of the promise of clever multi-player hacking, using a real scripting language. Although I've mostly done cooperative play rather than competitive so far, I have not been disappointed by the hacking :). Awesome things about Hackmud: - Semi-guided NPC / PvE hacking, to help ease you into things - Legit PvP hacking! We've already had one player-run messaging system that had a message-reading vulnerability (now patched). It's not known to have been exploited in the wild, but the fact that this is *possible*, and even encouraged, is very cool. - Being able to reshape the world by creating new scripts. When I wanted to buy some info, but didn't have a place to advertise this, I created my own bounty board. - It's a game that encourages you to test the limits :).

- Puzzles. Lots of em - Other users make it more real - ACTUAL scripting syntax rather than "fake" (JavaScript) - LOADS of potential : from apps/"servers" to games/stories - Tickled my inner geek. - It's very similar to wargames (actual hacking tasks in a non-destuctive env) - So far... this community. - And @seanmakesgames seems to really care for this game which means it should get the attention it deserves. I must say this is FAR better to me than some of the other hacking games out there. probably one of the best I've played. I get the "please, 5 minutes more" (read as 4 hours) feeling from it.
