scratch bug linux and win 10

Hi for me the scratch window doesnt work on any of my two PCs, one running linux lite the other running windows 10. I remember it did work when I got the game right after its release a while ago. when I hit enter it doenst do a new line it just writes over the existing line. bit it doesnt delete the text it is really another layer of text stucking upon it.
