Linux 32bit Exec Format Error

Does this game run on linux 32 bit? When running it from steam it closes immediately, and then when running it from the steam directory in the command line I get this error:
./hackmud_lin.x86_64: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error
I tried adding several flags I came across here, including -force-opengl, -force-glcore, -force-glcore33, none of them seemed to work. Also tried installing mono-tools and mono-core, still nothing.
I'm running a core i3 8gbs of RAM and an itegrated hd3000. I

Looks like hackmud for linux only comes with 64bit binaries. So maybe it's time to switch to a 64bit OS? As far as I know core i3 is 64bit.
