[BUG] Mouse/Keyboard Macbook Pro
f0wpj6
Hi, I have a strange behaviour that I haven't seen in any other game or software. Everything runs fine when I'm using only the keyboard. As soon as I use the mouse (whether the Mac's trackpad or an external mouse) the keyboard starts to run erratically. Just like an invisible hand is holding down either the Backspace or any of the arrow keys. For instance, anything I type in the game's terminal is getting deleted faster than I can type it. From this moment the game becomes unplayable. I have to leave the game and start it over. Then, as soon as I click somewhere with the mouse, it starts again. Pat

I also use an MBP and don't have this issue consistently, but sometimes it happens. I think what happens is that the game thinks right click is down (which it interprets to mean a paste, which can delete whatever else is around if it contains an escape). Usually the fix is to just right click properly so it sees a right click up event and then it's fine.

Close, but not the case. A right-click doesn't fix the problem. Leaving the game and returning to it (command-tab) seems to temporarily fix it but only for a few minutes. Strangely I did not find the description of these kind of problems with Unity, which seems to be the cause of this...

Sorry pat this sounds pretty crappy of an experience. You’re not seeing this behavior anywhere else on your computer right? Need to make sure it’s not a hardware issue- I develop on a MacBook Pro so usually it has the least bugs :P

No i'ts happening only with hackmud. It really feels like a bug between Unity and the system (MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017), Mojave). My solution is to install the game under Vmware and windows. It works flawlessly with MBP's trackpad. So I don't think it's a hardware problem.

That sucks. This could be an issue with the OS, unity and the machine. Unfortunately there's not much I can do here. I'm glad you have a workaround. Have you considered upgrading your operating system? From the data, it looks like you can get all the way up to current MacOS

Well the workaround is fine for me. Updating the OS means losing the ability to run some 32 bit software that I use frequently, some for work, so I prefer to stick with Mojave... Anyway thanks for reading and answering the messages !
